Maria brink......................Maria Brink was born on December 18 1977 into a troubled family in New York. It was her first year of school at the time her father separated from the family. When she was fourteen, Brink was pregnant, and she had to leave high school. Davion, her son, was born at 14 years old. Brink was moved to an apartment in the home of her mother for a chance to earn a living. Brink was a member of her first band Pulse in Albany, New York. They played predominantly local events that featured bands like Coal Chamber & Sevendust. However, the members of the group later split up. At the age of 25 she moved from California to Los Angeles looking for her biggest break. Brink worked in stores, singing in bars and cafes, while searching for a new band. Within two years, she met Chris Howorth (now a band member) at an audition. Howorth would not audition her since she was female. After hearing her show, he changed his mind. The band was created in the early part of Jeff Fabb and them, along with guitarist Blake Bunzel. In the following years the guitarist Blake Bunzel joined the band along with bassist Josh Newell. The name of the group was changed to In This Moment after two shows.
